Root Motorola Milestone With Android 2.0 For Full File System Access
Quite a while after Motorola Droid got rooted, it’s European counterpart, the Motorola Milestone on Android 2.0 has been rooted for full file system access. A German forum, Android-Hilfe.de has been able to come up with the hack, paving the way for custom ROMs, apps, themes to Motorola Milestone.
Here are the steps to root Motorola Milestone with Android 2.0:
1. Download the milestone_root.zip file.
2. Rename this zip file to Update.zip and move it to your phone’s SD card (-) directory.
3. Power off your phone.
4. Boot the device by pressing and holding the Camera button and the Power button at the same time till you see this: /!.
4. Press the Volume and Camera button till you see the Recovery screen.
5. Flash the Update.zip file.
That’s it. You now have full root access to Android 2.0 on Motorola Milestone.
